How to Book a Legal Consultation?

Follow these steps to book an online legal consultation. The initial consultation will be attended by a legal assistant who will triage you before directing you to a lawyer from our Inkblot Network.

You will have access to a legal network of 3,000 experienced lawyers across Canada, each with a minimum of 5 years of practice experience. The mylegalplan Consult funds are available for 12 months from the date the funds are released to the selected lawyer.

Step 1- Sign in

Open your web browser on your computer or mobile device, go to mylegalplan Consult website, and sign in to your account.

Step 2- Start a New Consult

Click on the +New Consult option on the main menu or the Get Started green button located in the dashboard section.

Step 3 - Read the Introduction

Please read the information provided on the booking system and click on the green NEXT button.

Step 4 - Select a Category

Choose a category that best reflects your inquiry. You can only choose one. If you are unsure which category your inquiry falls under, please choose other. Then click on the green NEXT button.

Step 5 - Select a Subcategory

Not all categories will have sub categories however if subcategories are available choose the best one to help the attorney better understand your case.

Step 6 - Legal Hotline Phone Number

You will be provided with a legal hotline phone number along with your specific consultation number. Please keep these numbers handy as you will be required to provide the consultation number to receive service when phoning.

You can call the Legal Hotline at any time, 24/7 for support and intake. However, Professional legal advice is available between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm MT, Monday-Friday.
