The International Student Medical Insurance Plan- mycanadaplan, plus provides coverage to International Students in the event of an emergency medical occurrence, accident, or illness while they are studying in Canada at Red River College Polytechnic. A pre-existing exclusion may apply to medical conditions and/or symptoms that existed before you came to Canada for study.
Outside Canada: Includes excursions outside Canada up to 90 cumulative days with excursions to the USA limited to 30 cumulative days per policy year. No coverage in the home country unless part of the school or training program.

Emergency Transportation and Emergency Transportation and Repatriation Insurance Plan
All international students who have opted out of the International Student Medical Insurance Plan - mycanadaplan, plus are automatically enrolled in the Transportation and Repatriation Plan, as this is a mandatory plan. This plan covers international students in the event of an accident, sickness, injury, critical illness, or death, and need to return to their home country or country of citizenship.
There may be limitations and exclusions that apply within the Transportation and Repatriation policy. This coverage is not offered through the Manitoba Health Care program.

Direct Billing Networks - Preapproved Clinics
You are not required to use the clinics listed under the Direct Billing Network Clinics provided (those within the list) however those clinics listed are set up to bill directly to the insurer once you have arranged and confirmed your appointment to the clinic via the support of the Intrepid 24/7™ call center.
Members will only receive communication if they reach out to assistance for medical care and a case number; or have submitted a claim to the Intrepid 24/7™ claims team, or in cases where additional information is required, the student member will receive a follow up email directly from the case manager.
In the event you are issued a medical bill and/or must pay for a clinic visit it is recommended to request a copy of all the medical records related to your visit before you leave the clinic or hospital and follow the instructions under Plan Claims.
