The Virtual Health Care Program provides eligible students and their dependents 24/7 access to virtual health care through their smart phone, tablet or computer- anywhere in Canada!

Powered by Dialogue Health, students can consult with a medical professional to address their primary health care needs including:

Contraception and sexual health
Skin rashes and infections, minor cuts and bites
Upper respiratory tract infections
Travel health

Telemedicine platforms in Canada are not able to prescribe controlled substances including stimulants like ADHD medications, narcotics, opioids, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, or barbiturates. If it is determined by a clinician that you require a medication not available through myvirtualdoctor, you will be assisted to find local healthcare services to receive the care you need.

Eligibility Criteria

The Virtual Health Care Program is a service provided under the Student Health Plan. If you are eligible for mystudentplan coverage, you will have access to the Virtual Helath Care - myvirtualdoctor.

All domestic, indigenous, government-sponsored and international students who meet the following criteria are automatically enrolled in the Health and Dental Plan - mystudentplan and do not need to apply for coverage.

Students who are admitted at Carlton Trail College and meet the following eligibility criteria are automatically assessed the Student Health Plan Fee on their tuition.

You are eligible if:

You are admitted to an eligible program that is 12 weeks or longer as having full-time status and taking at least 60% of the course load at Carlton Trail College; and

You reside in Canada and study in person or online; and

You are under the age of 70.

Enrollment Confirmation

Review your student account statement and search for the Health Plan Fee to confirm you are covered by the Student Health Plan and have access to the Virtual Health Care Program.

Students Opted Out

Eligible students who opted out of the Health Plan do not qualify for the Virtual Health Care Program.

Registering is easy and simple! Follow these straightforward steps to access services thoughtfully designed with you in mind.

Open Dialogue

To create your account, open Dialogue on your Internet browser or the app and click the Create your Account button.

To start the registration process, please provide a valid email address. You may use either your personal or school email.

Create a Password

Please follow the password guidelines. Once all the criteria are met and indicated by green checkmarks, you may proceed with the registration.

Email Verification

Dialogue will send a verification email to ensure that the entered email address is accessible to you.

Verify your Email

Open your email inbox and search for a message from support@dialogue.co. To proceed, click on the Verify Email button within the email.

Fill out the online form with your personal details to proceed with the registration. Your first name, last name, and date of birth must match what your school has on file.
