Student Health & Wellness!mystudentplan is a benefits plan for students and can provide coverage for prescription drugs, vision care, dental care, mental health counseling, and more. The plan is designed to supplement provincial health insurance and provide additional access to medical services.

Health and Dental Enrollment Application

Deadline to enroll in the Student Benefits Plan

Spring-Summer term - May 20th, 2024

After the deadline, the online form is only available for students who have lost their comparable coverage.

Enrollment Eligibility

There are 4 circumstances in which students may be enrolled: (1) when they are considered full-time students, (2) when they opted out and are starting the fall term, (3) when they opted out and did not attend the previous term, or (4) when they are within 30 days of losing their coverage.

How to Enroll

To apply to Enroll, you must be opted out of the Student Plan, meet the Enrollment eligibility criteria, are eligible for the Student Plan, and complete the online form before the applicable term deadline.

Student Health and Dental Fees:

These are the fees to re-enroll in the Student Benefits Plan. If an application is approved, the student receives an email with instructions to pay the assessed fees.

Things to consider:
  • All eligible students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health and Dental Plan and do not need to submit an opt-in form. You will see the Health Insurance Fee and the Dental Insurance Fee on your student account to confirm you are enrolled.
  • Students choosing to enroll in the Health, the dental or both plans.
  • Approval of the Student Benefits Plan enrollment application will result in the Health Insurance Fee and/or the Dental Insurance Fee being assessed on your student account.
  • NO EXCEPTIONS will be made if the application or payment is missed. It is the student's responsibility to check their emails regarding the status of the application or deadlines.

Eligibility Confirmation

Confirm your eligibility to enroll in the CSA Health and/or Dental Plans by completing the following questions.

Are you a new student who has been considered a full-time student by a learning accommodation services advisor from the Concordia University of Edmonton?

Please visit the Learning Accommodations Services website for more information.

Have you ever Opted Out of the CSA Health and/or Dental plans?

All eligible students are automatically enrolled and do not need to apply for coverage. There is no opt-in option for non-eligible students.

Have you lost your comparable health and dental Coverage?

You may only apply within 30 days of the loss your comparable coverage. After 30 days, your application will be denied.
