All eligible domestic and international students are automatically enrolled in the Legal Care Program provided by the Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union.
This virtual legal plan covers a range of legal services that allow students to get the right legal support to pursue any legal civil issues. The Legal Care program provides legal resources and protection for student enrolled in the TMSU Student Health Plan.
The eligibility criteria to be automatically enrolled in the health plan are:
If you opt out of the health plan, you will also be automatically opted out of the Legal Care Program and will not be able to use its services.
Eligible students will receive 12 months of coverage starting the first day of the month when classes begin.
Coverage September 1st to August 31st
Coverage January 1st to December 31st
There are 2 ways to know if you are enrolled in the plan.
If you are not sure if you meet the eligibility criteria, please visit my.torontomu and login using your student account. If you have been charged the Health Plan fee, then you are enrolled!
If you are unsure about whether you are eligible for the Legal Care Program, please contact your Benefit Plan Office at tmsu@mystudentplan.ca before the applicable deadline.
