New eligible domestic and international students will be activated with Canada Life up to 60 days from the start date of the term. If you are enrolled in the student health & dental plan you will be have direct billing with pharmacies and dental offices once the 60 day enrollment process has been completed.

To access direct billing simply show your Benefits Card and only pay for the portion not covered by the plan. You can use the electronic card by showing it on your phone or the physical card by printing it.

If you are not sure if you meet the eligibility criteria, please follow the steps below. If you see the Health Insurance Fee and Dental Insurance Fee included in your tuition, you are covered by the Extended Health and Dental Plan provided by the Students' Association.

For the benefits card and direct billing to work at any pharmacies, dentists, optometrists, or paramedical practitioners you must first register on my.canadalife.com and update your address on your profile. Direct billing is dependent on each service provider's individual business billing practices.

For family members added to the student plan, use the student benefit card which includes the student name and student ID number.

For quick and easy access, choose the email option, to utilize your card from your mobile device.

Returning students that are eligible and charged for the next benefit year are able to continue using the same benefit card; the policy information remains the same during the policy term.
